In the first game of the Mariners series, Geltz came into the game in the sixth inning with the score tied 2-2 and two runners on base. The first batter he faced hit a 3-run home run and the Rays went on to lose 5-2.
Two days later, in the 11th inning of the final game of the Mariners series, Geltz gave up a walk-off home run to the first batter of the inning and the Rays lost 6-5.
And then on Sunday, Geltz came into the game in the 9th inning to try and save a 1-run lead.
