PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- First baseman James Loney and catcher Rene Rivera will not be on the Rays this season.
Rivera was released Wednesday, while Loney told reporters that he was informed that he would not be on the team, meaning the Rays either have a trade in the works or that he will be released.
