Kean Wong is having by far his best professional season. He hit his fourth home run Friday, and he’s just one short of tying his career high. His .208 ISO is blowing away his previous career high, and he didn’t sacrifice his ability to make contact. His strikeout rate is just a little higher than usual, and his walk rate is a career high. He is doing this playing at the level he spent most of last season at, so maybe this is something to revisit in a month.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (28-18)
Jason Coats hit two of Durham’s four home runs in an 8-1 win over Louisville.
