Durham crushed Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 17-2, advancing to the International League Championship — and eliminating the RailRIders — for the third straight season. The Bulls got off to a fast start, making it clear it would be their night. They scored four runs in the first, capped by Rocky Gale’s two-run double. In his first rehab appearance, Blake Snell allowed a run in two-thirds of an inning. Jason Coats homered in the fourth to make a it a 9-1 game, and they scored six in the ninth, capped by Dalton Kelly’s three-run home run.
