Maybe the most interesting aspect of Brendan McKay’s dominance is his tremendous control. His walk rate this season is a minuscule 2.4 percent, and 73.3 percent of his pitches have been strikes. He always threw strikes at Louisville, but this is something else.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (19-13)
With a three-run seventh, Durham edged Norfolk by a 4-3 score. All of the damage in the decisive inning came with two outs. Brandon Snyder’s single kept the inning alive, and Andrew Velazquez, Adam Moore, and Kean Wong all delivered RBI singles.
