During the offseason — and I suppose spring training as well — it seemed like the Rays were moving away from players socking dingers. While the minor league personnel obviously didn’t drastically change, the affiliates certainly haven’t been going deep much. Durham and Montgomery each only have one home run, and the four teams combined have nine in 30 games so far.

Durham’s offense forgot to make the road trip, resulting in a 2-0 loss to Columbus. The Bulls had just one hit — a leadoff single by Joe McCarthy in the second.
