In Florida State League news, five Stone Crabs were named to the league's All-Star Game in Fort Myers on June 18. Brent Honeywell, Nick Ciuffo, Riley Unroe, Mac James and Cade Gotta, as well as the coaching staff, will represent Charlotte.

Durham battled an early deficit and lengthy rain delay in its 5-4 win over Gwinnett. After falling behind 4-0 in the top of the second, the Bulls had to sit through a two-plus hour delay, but they came back hot, answering with three runs of their own. In the fourth, Nick Franklin doubled in a pair to give Durham its first lead.
