Moises Gomez’s season line of a .232 average, .306 on-base percentage, and .406 slugging percentage doesn’t look too impressive, but it’s still significantly higher than league average. And with two more home runs Sunday, his line in May is very similar to his breakout 2018 season — .263/.313/.509. The 40.7% strikeout rate will have to come down though.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (25-17)
Durham couldn’t keep Rochester in the park in a 6-4 loss. The Red Wings hit four home runs, including one in the top of the seventh, a half inning after the Bulls scored three times to tie the game.
