With Bowling Green’s season now finished, there’s just one game left on the Rays minor league schedule this season — Durham’s Triple-A National Championship contest against Memphis on Tuesday.
Triple-A Durham Bulls (79-60)
Durham was off.
Class-A Bowling Green Hot Rods (7-1)
Bowling Green rolled to a 7-2 win over Peoria, winning its first Midwest League championship. With a lot of early scoring, the outcome was hardly in doubt. Vidal Brujan led off the game with a walk and scored on Moises Gomez’s double, and the Hot Rods put the game out of the reach in the second inning.
