The Rays placed Logan Morrison (right forearm strain) and Oswaldo Arcia (right elbow strain) on the 15-day disabled list on Friday.
Right-hander Brad Boxberger was activated from the DL, and infielder Nick Franklin was recalled from Triple-A Durham to replace them on the 25-man roster.
Morrison was hitting .228 with 10 homers, while Arcia was batting .259 since being acquired from the Twins on June 24. Boxberger has appeared for one game for the Rays in an injury-riddled season, and Franklin is hitting .313 with 13 RBIs in 19 Major League games this season.
