ST. PETERSBURG — Rays LHP Drew Smyly had his third scoreless outing Sunday in his six starts since returning from the disabled list.
He tied his career high with 11 strikeouts and allowed four hits in his six innings during a 2-0, 13-inning loss to the Red Sox.
“It’s just another game, honestly,” Smyly said. “I’ve had good games. I’ve had a few bad games. You want to be as consistent as possible. It’s a positive I was able to keep it 0-0 and give us a chance to win.”
Smyly had control of all his pitches.
