ST. PETERSBURG — It was during his time last month at Triple-A Durham when LHP Matt Moore and Bulls pitching coach Kyle Snyder talked about Moore cutting loose a little bit more physically while on the mound.
“Just be yourself, be athletic. Let your muscle memory take over,” Moore said.
Snyder told Moore to be the pitcher his body wanted him to be.
Moore, who faces the Red Sox Saturday night, was able to hit 95 mph a few times with his fastball while pitching with the Bulls. Last Saturday, during his first start since rejoining the Rays, Moore hit 94 against the Yankees in New York.
