SEATTLE — OF Desmond Jennings’ return from bursitis in his left knee hit a setback Monday when he felt pain after having two at-bats in an extended spring game. As a result, Jennings will fly to Vail, Colorado, to be examined early next week by Steven B. Singleton, a knee specialist at The Steadman Clinic.
“It’s not good,” manager Kevin Cash said. “I don’t think we can pinpoint what’s causing the issue.”
Jennings last played April 25 against the visiting Blue Jays. He left the game after seven innings with what was described as left knee soreness.
