ST. PETERSBURG — Rays RHP Chris Archer makes his 34th and final start of the season Saturday night. It’s an important start for Archer because it means he did not miss a turn this season and because it affords him a chance to end the season with a better outing against the Blue Jays than the one he turned in during his previous start.
However, pitching 207 innings in 33 starts might be taking its toll on Archer.
The Jays reached him for nine runs on 10 hits a week ago Saturday in Toronto in a 10-8 loss.
