PORT CHARLOTTE — SS Brad Miller said he did not experience an “Oh no!” moment earlier this spring when he made three throwing errors during the first week of games. His decision to spend time with infield coach Tom Foley to work on his defense was nothing more than typical work done each spring to improve his game.
“At this level, you got to work,” Miller said. “You can’t roll out of bed and expect to go 3-for-3 and make web gems. This is where you get your confidence. You work at it, and it’s been good.”
Manager Kevin Cash said he’s pleased with the progress Miller has made since working with Foley.
