ST. PETERSBURG — With 50 games left in the season, it makes sense that the Rays have won as many games as they've lost. One moment, they're finishing off a sweep of the Angels. The next, they're getting swept by the White Sox. One moment, they remind you of the 2008 Rays. The next, they remind you of the 1998 Devil Rays.
On Sunday, White Sox designated hitter Daniel Palka hit a go-ahead home run in the ninth inning to hand the Rays an 8-7 defeat and complete a series sweep at Tropicana Field, Chicago's first here since 2012.
