If the Tampa Bay Rays were to erect a Mount Rushmore of the greatest players in the team’s history, who should be on the monument?
That question was posed to fans of the Rays — and all other major-league teams — as part of a Franchise Four vote, the results of which were announced during Tuesday’s All-Star Game.
Based on voting on the team’s website, the winners: Evan Longoria, David Price, James Shields and Ben Zobrist.
The Rays were the only team with all four of its players currently still in the majors, though Longoria is the only one remaining with the Rays.
