PHILADELPHIA -- Things didn’t get any better for the Tampa Bay Rays once they returned to the states.
Matt Moore had another subpar outing, the offense failed again to score with the bases-loaded and the defense got a little sloppy.
The result was a 5-3 loss to the Philladelphia Phillies on a steamy night at Citizens Bank Park.
The loss was their third in four games since the break and followed a pregame presser by principal owner Stuart Sternberg, who said the team would not add any offense at the upcoming trade deadline because they still remain confident in the offense.
