Rays down on the farm July 7: Odorizzi sharp in final tune-up

Pitching up and down the organization was very good on Monday.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (44-40)

Scott Diamond shut down Norfolk in Durham's 2-0 win over the Tides. With 99 pitches, he tossed 7 2/3 scoreless innings, scattering just three hits and two walks while striking out five. Preston Guilmet struck out two over the final four outs to wrap up the game. After John Jaso batted 0-for-2 as the Bulls' left fielder, Corey Brown later hit a solo home run for insurance.

Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (6-4)

Blake Snell was sharp in Montgomery's 5-1 win over Biloxi.
