Rays down on the farm July 22: Schultz comes up short of no-hitter

Walking seven batters in consecutive starts is not ideal. A move to the bullpen could be coming sooner rather than later.

Triple-A Durham Bulls (49-47)

Everett Teaford endured another poor start in Durham's 7-4 loss to Charlotte. One-time big leaguer and actually still active righty Brad Penny walked the bases loaded in the second before Hak-Ju Lee singled in a run, but Teaford gave that edge away quickly. The Knights piled on seven runs over the next two innings, and Teaford finished with six runs allowed on five hits and two walks in 2 1/3 innings.
