OAKLAND, Calif. --- A day after James Loney was ejected for arguing a called strike three, the Rays await word on whether Major League Baseball will further dicsipline Loney.
After home plate umpire Paul Nauert called Loney out in the sixth inning of the Rays' 5-4 win against the A's, Loney flipped his bat and slammed his helmet to the ground. Then, after Nauert ejected Loney, Loney approached him and the two touched before the first baseman was restrained.
