The Rays are looking for a second straight win over the Yankees in this series and four in a row overall tonight, and they’ll have Monday star Travis d’Arnaud at the top of their lineup again and playing first base.
Ryne Stanek, who retired the first six Orioles he faced on Sunday, will serve again as the opener, with Jalen Beeks called up from Triple-A to work the bulk innings.
Beeks was with the Rays through late June, then sent to Durham to make two extended starts and a one-inning outing on Thursday.
Right-handed hitting OF Guillermo Heredia was sent down to make room for Beeks, so the lineup has a slightly different look against Yankees lefty CC Sabathia, plus Tommy Pham is serving as the DH with Austin Meadows in left.
