After a change in travel plans due to weather issues led them to make an unusual day of game flight, albeit a short one, to Miami, the Rays are set to take on the majors-worst Marlins tonight at 7:10.
Veteran Charlie Morton, unbeaten in eight starts but unhappy with 21 walks in 44 1/3 innings, will be on the mound for the Rays. Lefty Caleb Smith, who is one of the few success for the 10-win Marlins, will start for Miami in the opener of a quick two-game interleague series.
The Rays are coming off a disappointing weekend at home, losing two of three to the Yankees.
