THE GOOD: We talked yesterday about how Steve Pearce is a guy who can get hot and start to hit home runs in bunches and sure enough, his go-ahead 3-run home run in the 6th inning was his second in two games and his third in his last 5 starts. He also has 8 hits in his last 6 games. Of course, it helps when the Dodgers throw out back-to-back left-handed starters. Unfortunately, Pearce will likely be back on the bench Friday against the Angels. In all, the Rays hit 4 home runs, but Pearce’s was the big blow.
