Some might blame it on the rain, and the long-delayed conclusion to the Blue Jays doubleheader against the Cleveland Indians. They might tell you that a late night on getaway day, a lack of sleep, a lost off-day are all to blame for how the Jays fared tonight.
Then again, some might just say the Rays outplayed them.
In the first inning, when Curtis Granderson scored on a sac fly from Teoscar Hernandez, things weren’t off to a great start. Rays bullpen starter Andrew Kittredge looked uneven early on, giving up two hits and a walk in his two innings of work, and racking up 36 pitches.
