This game, like many others this season, was not fun.
Drew Smyly was terrible.
Ryan Webb was (and has always been) terrible.
The Rays offense was not necessarily terrible, but it certainly was nowhere near enough to keep pace with the 17 hit, 12 run shellacking the Orioles put on Rays pitching today.
This game was over from the first inning, as Drew Smyly gave up a walk and two singles before allowing a Chris Davis grand slam to put the O's up 4-0 early.
Desmond Jennings put the Rays on the board in the second, but Smyly quickly gave that run back in the bottom of the frame, and allowed the O's to make it 6-1 in the third after a Jonathan Schoop homer.
