Rays 11, Padres 4: Baz was good, the bats were better

The Rays were able to flip the script of Friday’s affair and scored eleven runs to win by a final score of 11-4 on Saturday afternoon. In total, the Rays and Padres have combined for 33 runs through the first two games of this three game set. The Padres have scored 17 while the Rays have scored 16 runs, yet neither game has been close.

Shane Baz made his 9th start of the year and it was a solid one despite a first inning, two-run shot that gave the Padres an early lead. After a leadoff walk to Arraez and strikeout of Profar, former Rays prospect Jake Cronenworth took Baz deep to right field.
