It doesn’t matter what ballpark or time zone Randy Arozarena is in.
He simply has a flair for the dramatic.
In his first game against his former mates, Arozarena would hit an opposite field go-ahead three-run rope in the bottom of the third inning off of Ryan Pepiot.
The blast proved to be the dagger, as the Rays offense didn’t do much after a Josh Lowe solo shot in the top of the second.
Ryan Pepiot would deliver a solid outing, throwing six innings while allowing two earned runs and striking out six.
Tomorrow night’s contest will be the last night game of Tampa Bay’s west coast trip, as Jeffrey Springs and Logan Gilbert are the projected starting pitchers, respectively.
