Rays 0, Orioles 5: Rays bats fall silent in shutout loss

It was a low-scoring, low-action outing in St. Pete today as the Rays struggled to even get a man on base through the game. Let’s just jump into how things went.

Taj Bradley was on the mound for the Rays, up against Kyle Bradish for the Orioles, and both pitchers were dialed in throughout the game.

The top of the first saw a two-out single from Ryan Mountcastle, but the Orioles failed to bring him home. Yandy Diaz singled to kick off the home half of the inning, and that was the only hit the Rays would see for quite some time, so it was nice to get the no-hitter off the table in the first at-bat.
