Random Ray of the Week: Jason Childers

Another week, another random player from the Tampa Bay Rays flashes into your memory banks.

Today, we move on the letter ‘C’ and when you look into the analogs of Rays history, there have been 41 players to don the gradient rainbows, the green vests, and the navy blues.

Choosing at random, we come out with...Jason Childers.

Childers’ story begins in the Summer of 1997 when he went undrafted following his senior year at Kennesaw State University. He signed a minor league deal with the Milwaukee Brewers and joined their Rookie-Level affiliate as one of the oldest members of the league at 22 years old.
