In the effort to keep the Tampa Bay Rays from fleeing across the bay, Pinellas County officials plan Tuesday to unveil a report that will identify 10 10 potential sites for a new baseball stadium in Pinellas.
County Administrator Mark Woodard will brief commissioners at 2 p.m. on a 16-page reported entitled “Candidate Stadium Sites in Pinellas County.”
The report lists 10 potential sites and includes a breakdown that identifies the businesses, employees, residents and median income that are within a 5, 15 and 30-minute drive of each site.
The report came after Woodard met with team officials to get “certain site evaluation criteria expressed by the Rays,” the report says.
