• After expected solid showings from Blake Snell and Charlie Morton, the Rays have to wind it up to get through three more days of openers/bulk guys, with Jalen Beeks, Yonny Chirinos and Ryan Yarbrough, who made a solid return from Durham, lined up.

• There can be fun in baseball. After Rays catcher Travis d’Arnaud juggled the ball and hung on to make official Francisco Lindor’s strikeout in the first, Lindor playfully poked the ball out of his hand, drawing a smile from starter Charlie Morton.
