Marc Topkin’s takeaways from Rays’ 4-3 Tuesday loss to A’s:
* The Rays have had their issues on the bases, including getting thrown out for the cycle in Saturday’s doubleheader. But Tuesday they looked swift in pulling off a double steal to swipe a run as Willy Adames broke for home after Kevin Kiermaier headed to second. It was their second of the season.

* Depending on how the Rays are positioned defensively, catcher Mike Zunino sometimes has the best shot on a foul ball down the third-base line, though it would take some hustle.
