ANAHEIM -- The leaders in the voting on the 2015 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot to become starters on the American League All-Star team were announced on Monday, and the Rays are going to need some help from their fans if any players are going to get elected to this year's Midsummer Classic.
Despite the fact that the Rays were four games over .500 and 1 1/2 games behind the Yankees after Sunday's action, no Tampa Bay players currently rank among the AL leaders.
"I guess the Tampa fans have to step up a little bit," said a smiling Steven Souza Jr.
