Kiermaier, in his first full Major League season, ranked second in the American League with 410 putouts, many of which ended with him prone on the ground or planted against an outfield fence. The two other finalists at his position are the Angels' Mike Trout and the Blue Jays' Kevin Pillar.
The veteran Longoria already has two Gold Glove Awards (2009 and '10) and is in contention to add to his trophy case after a four-year lull. His .976 fielding percentage at the hot corner led AL third basemen, including co-finalists Adrian Beltre of Texas and Manny Machado of Baltimore.
