ST. PETERSBURG -- Rays center fielder Kevin Kiermaier left Wednesday night's contest against the Yankees after sustaining a hairline fracture in his right foot on a hit-by-pitch in the first inning.
Kiermaier continued to play before leaving the game after the third inning. His season is likely over after X-rays were taken and revealed the hairline fracture.
Third baseman Matt Duffy, who walked and scored a run in the Rays' three-run first, exited the game after that frame with tightness in his right quad.
