The former CEO of a company that provides food service for Tropicana Field, the Florida State Fairgrounds and other venues has been fined $5,000 by a judge, 10 months after a viral video showed him kicking a dog in an Vancouver elevator.
In addition, Desmond Hague was handed a three-year ban on owning animals, according to Canadian Press.
Hague, who resigned from Centerplate Inc. last year, previously pleaded guilty in a British Columbia court to one count of causing an animal distress.
In July 2014, Hague was seen on surveillance video kicking his friend’s 1-year-old Doberman and yanking its collar in an elevator of a Vancouver highrise.
