Key hits in eighth from Jaso and Beckham propel Rays to victory

ST. PETERSBURG — The Rays rallied for a much-needed victory Friday night against the Baltimore Orioles.

All it took was a three-run eighth inning.

The Rays beat the Orioles 3-1 in front of 17,883 at Tropicana Field.

Jake McGee pitched the ninth inning for the save, and Alex Colome worked the eighth to get the win.

And it might have been Colome who was responsible for the comeback.

Colome gave the home crowd something to cheer about in the top of the eighth when he hit Orioles third baseman Manny Machado in the left shoulder with a pitch.
