Kate Upton called for the firing of two Tampa Bay Rays media members after they left Justin Verlander off their ballots for the American League Cy Young Award.
Despite Verlander receiving the most first-place votes in the 2016 American League Cy Young voting, he did not win the award. This did not sit well with Kate Upton, his fiancée.
Rick Porcello of the Boston Red Sox won the award with Verlander finishing second. Upton then ripped Major League Baseball with a vulgar tweet (you can see the uncensored version of the tweet here).

It turns out that the two writers who left Verlander off their ballots were both from the Tampa Bay media market (each AL market gets two votes for each major MLB award), Bill Chastain of MLB.
