The blows keep coming for the Rays during their bout against the 2020 season as another pitcher will have their season ended by injury.
It is being reported that Jalen Beeks has suffered an elbow sprain, effectively ending his 2020 campaign as he has been transferred to the 45-day injured list.
Beeks left Tuesday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles during the middle of an at-bat after feeling some discomfort and the immediate prognosis was not a good sign, with Kevin Cash calling it ‘unfortunate.’
Prior to the injury, Beeks was among the league leaders in whiff% as opponents swung through 18% of his offerings.
