Hechavarria grabs hammy after single, exits

ANAHEIM -- Rays shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria exited Thursday's game against the Angels after hitting a single to left field in the second inning.

Hechavarria shot a grounder past third baseman Zack Cozart, and when he reached first base, he was grabbing his right hamstring.

Pinch-runner Joey Wendle replaced Hechavarria, who is hitting .273 with two home runs and 16 RBIs this season. Wendle took over at second base, and Daniel Robertson shifted from second to shortstop.
