Hanley Ramirez will return to the Red Sox's lineup Sunday after missing the past three games with back spasms.
Ramirez is scheduled to hit fifth as the designated hitter Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays.
He left Wednesday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the fourth inning with the spasms. It was his first game playing first base this season.
Ramirez, 33, is hitting .257 with five home runs and 16 RBIs this season.
