Game Notes: Phillies' Top Prospect Makes Debut

David Buchanan entered last night's game with the second highest earned run average among starting pitchers in the major leagues. In his first six starts of the 2015 season, the sophomore pitcher had been tuned up for 25 earned runs and 40 hits in only 29 u2154 innings of work.

Fortunately for Buchanan, his opponent in last night's competition was the Tampa Bay Rays and for the first time since August of 2014, he found himself in the win column. In 6 u2153 innings of work, the 26-year-old right hander limited the Rays to three earned runs, lowering his season ERA to 7.
