Around 3:40 today, the announcement was made that Alex Cobb had torn his UCL and would undergo Tommy John Surgery, which will sideline for the rest of this season and the majority of next year. It's a crushing blow to a team that was expecting him to be their ace this year, but hopefully help will be on the way soon as Matt Moore could be back in the rotation within a month.
