The good times for Faria came crashing down during his last start, although, he was pretty solid up until that 7th inning. He took on the Orioles on the 11th in Baltimore and his final line read that he had allowed seven runs on eight hits — two home runs — while he walked one and struck out three.
Prior to the 7th, Faria had held the O’s to three runs, but he imploded in the 7th and Ryne Stanek ultimately allowed a grand slam to destroy Faria’s decent line for the day.
It has not been a great year for the former Rays pitcher as Jason Hammel has suffered through several rough outings for the Royals.
