PORT CHARLOTTE — James Loney fielded grounders Friday morning on Field 5 at Charlotte Sports Park during the Rays’ first full-squad workout of the spring.
To Loney’s immediate right was Logan Morrison, whom the Rays acquired in early November from Seattle to, among other things, play first base.
Loney arrived in camp Sunday, four days ahead of the report date for position players and six days ahead of the first full-squad workout.
