Evan Longoria was recently interviewed by Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times on two topics: The Rays Rebuild and The Rays Stadium Search.
In both cases, Longoria’s perspective mirrors that of much of the general public:
- Tampa Bay is clearly in a rebuild, and though Longoria was personally treated well through that process, it’s not easy for those who care about the team to experience.
- The Rays attendance problem is real, and one has to wonder if Miami’s failure to rebound its attendance through a new stadium is a cautionary tale.
