BOSTON -- Alex Cobb has suffered "a little bit of a setback," according to Rays manager Kevin Cash.
Cobb had been throwing off a mound since April 24 after experiencing right-forearm tendinitis during Spring Training. But he did not throw a "flat ground" on Sunday as expected.
"Just didn't feel right," Cash said. "So we'll have more in the next two or three days. ... He just didn't feel as good as he was hoping. Any time you're dealing with a pitcher's arm, it's obviously concerning."
When asked if Cobb's situation would dictate him getting shut down for a couple of days and going to see a doctor, Cash answered: "I think probably all of the above.
