We are still weeks away from the start of Spring Training, but Junior Caminero is in regular season form. Caminero capped off an incredible run in LIDOM, by sealing the league championship for Escogido with this ninth-inning go-ahead homer.
Caminero was already named the MVP of the previous round of the tournament, and has received high praise from his manager and future Hall of Famer, Albert Pujols, who called him “the future of MLB.”
The home run and subsequent minute-long trot exploded on social media Monday night. In an interview after the game, Caminero was seen wearing a Rays City Connect shirt.
