Baseball fans locked out as riots rock Baltimore (AFP)

Baltimore (AFP) - Baltimore's Major League Baseball team the Orioles postponed a game against Chicago's White Sox planned for late Tuesday, following a night of riots in the city.

It was the second time the game was delayed. The Orioles had been due to play the White Sox late Monday, but pulled out after cars were torched, stores looted and officers attacked.

"After consultation with MLB & state & local officials, tonight's game between the Orioles & the White Sox at Oriole Park has been postponed," the Orioles announced on Twitter.

It was unclear when the game would take place, but the team promised to make a related announcement "as soon as possible.
